THINGS TO KNOW FOR YOUR STAY THIS WEEKEND

This area is primitive and our amenities are what we make and bring with us. The pitcher pump water system is not potable water so plan to bring all that you will need for the weekend. All of our convenience stores and fast food are within 4-7 miles of where we will be camping. We do have a commissary and convenience store on Tyndall but only during the day and until mid-evening. You will need to have a DoD ID card holder escort you to access the. Tyndall Clinic does have 24 hour EMS personnel and they would be the ones to respond to an Emergency as well as transport to a local ER if necessary.

There will be wild animals around us so prep your boys to be vigilant at night especially. We will have a safety meeting reiterating what types and how to avoid a conflict. Keeping food packed away will be the greatest thing we can do to prevent unwanted guest overnight. Stress open food in your tents, bears have a keen sense of smell and they are on Tyndall.

As far as I can tell there are no cell phone restrictions at the location. All carriers should work fine where we are including ATT, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile to name a few. If anything changes leading up to Pow Wow, we will send out the information and keep you updated as quickly as possible.

Remember you’re the only one that can bring those boys and we know it’s a sacrifice. If we can help you in any way please just let us know.
